The Morning Stool

battlefield34

Howdy boys, girls, and other assorted internet dwellers, and yes, another weekend has ended. It was a good weekend for me, full of two of my most favorite games ever, and good times with friends. First of all, on Saturday and Sunday Cherry and I got to play Battlefield 3 on the Xbox. It was great finally getting back on the battlefield with her, it’s been ages since we’ve played the game together, although Saturday was more frustrating than awesome, thanks to some major Xbox issues for her. Her Xbox kept shutting off, mostly thanks to the fan not working anymore, and finally it just gave up the ghost. She tried switching to an old Xbox, but she hadn’t downloaded the update, so we couldn’t play on the same servers. Sunday, however, she did download everything, and it was a blast. A friend of ours, Punkin’, and a couple of her friends joined us and we wrecked shop. It was pretty cool seeing, game after game, that the top 5 in the match were all in our party.

Rackus and I got to play some Payday, we’re getting ready for the Payday 2 release later this week, and we both got a couple of trophies we’ve been hunting for. Unfortunately, we got together a little late, so we had to call it quits so we could record our Podcast with Jay. When we were finished, a friend of The Nerd Filter, RustyNova and I got to get on Battlefield 3 on the PS3. It was, officially, RustyNova’s first time in a FPS multiplayer, so it was a little difficult. We finally got his first kill ever, and he went on improving the whole time. He sure didn’t think he was, but playing online takes time, so eventually he’ll get up to speed by the time BF4 comes out.

In between all of that, this week Playstation Plus has been running a sale on all Rayman games, I picked up Rayman Origins on both the Vita (for $6.50) and the Playstation 3 (for $5), along with Rayman 3 HD ($2.50). Rayman Origins is my definitely one of my favorite games ever, and I’ve been having a blast. I’m almost all the way through the Vita game, and I’ve unlocked the majority of the trophies, but I’m kind of losing steam. I made the mistake of starting Rayman’s on the PS3, so I’m now focusing on getting all of the trophies I can on that, and it’s taking away my gusto on the Vita version, at least until I stop unlocking 5 or 6 trophies every hour on it. I also have a feeling that I’ll be taking a break from the Vita version because GameFly sent me Resistance on the Vita, so I’ll be working on that during the week while I’m on breaks at work. All in all, this weekend has been a blast, I can’t wait for this week to be over, and I can do it all over again! Have a good day, and be good to each other.Rackus and I got to play some Payday, we’re getting ready for the Payday 2 release later this week, and we both got a couple of trophies we’ve been hunting for.
