Found On The InterNERD: Lego Art Part 3

Welcome back to the InterNERD friends. San Diego Comic Con is coming up fast, a few exclusive Lego sculptures premiered early, so it’s the perfect timing for Lego Art Part 3! Lego Art Part 1 and Lego Art Part 2 has already showed some hugely talented brick artists. However I think this sequel tops them! Here are the coolest, nerdiest Lego art I found on the InterNERD.

Lego Guardians Of The Galaxy. I’m genuinely excited for the GOTG movie coming out next month. SDCC is going to have this Rocket Raccoon and Groot Lego sculpture on display! This massive sculpture is 7 feet tall and created by the Lego artists from Lego themselves.

Lego Rocketeer. This Rocketeer mosaic poster is fantastic! Created by Lego artist Dave Ware, you can see more great Lego art on his site brickwares.com.

Lego NES. The original Nintendo Entertainment System done is tiny Lego’s! This was created by Chris McVeigh, check out his Flickr page, he does a bunch of vintage tech out of mini Lego’s like old Macs, Atari’s, and even Polaroid cameras!

Lego Totoro. This Totoro is pretty rad. I like how they used the Lego’s studs on the outside, makes him textured like he’s hairy.

Lego Ellen’s Selfie. The last Academy Awards, host Ellen Degeneres took a selfie with the celebrity crowd. The famous pic is recreated with Lego’s! Created by Iain Heath, he did an amazing job positioning everything to look like the original.

Lego Stormtrooper. It is literally not a proper Lego InterNERD without Star Wars! This Stormtrooper mosaic is great, I love the background too with the TIE Fighter.

Lego Space Ghost. A little different since this one isn’t a sculpture or a mosaic piece, but this is a custom painted minifig of Space Ghost! Created by DeviantArt’s Digger318 check out more custom painted Lego guys in his gallery.

Lego Stay Puft. The Ghostbusters’ baddie Stay Puft Marshmallow Man! This is another San Diego Comic Con 2014 exclusive that Lego themselves built and will be on display at the con.

Lego CubeDudes. These are the best! I have been seeing his work around for awhile, now I found the source. Created by the talented Angus MacLane, the little Lego guys he creates are coined CubeDudes. MacLane is an animator at Pixar, so I imagine him making these in his free time at his desk! Check out his albums on his Flickr, I picked a bunch to showcase, really I could have picked a whole lot more!
